As a member of the Sauce kitchen team, it is the utility’s primary responsibility to clean, organize and sanitize all areas of the kitchen, some areas of the dining room, and assist in cleaning the outside grounds to ensure the guest has a clean and safe place to dine.


• Know and follow all Sauce policies & procedures
• Keep and maintain dish machine operating at optimum levels at all times
• Maintain appropriate levels of portioned chicken, pizza dough and rolls
• Responsible for the upkeep of entire BOH to meet our sanitation standards at all times (sanitation buckets, trash, cardboard boxes, floors swept and mopped, shelves and walls)
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
• Dishwashing cycles followed as trained
• Responsible to keep prep area clean and spice rack stocked, daily
• Responsible for daily side work to be completed
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware
• Keep dish room clean and organized
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen
• Monitor linen and trash containers and empty when appropriate
• Clean, sanitize, sweep, and mop all kitchen floors and dining room hallways, check for broken items on the floor and wet areas that may be hazardous and remove the hazard
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
• Understand and follow proper rules of hygiene and food safety measures
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required
• Maintain sanitation buckets with proper ppm dilution
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor


• Prior restaurant experience preferred
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work in a loud environment for long periods of time
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Must be able to work in an environment exposed to cold, heat, and water
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
• Must follow safety procedures closely
• Must be able to work on holidays and/or weekends
