As a member of the Sauce Pizza & Wine kitchen team, it is the pizza build/oven employee’s primary responsibility to prepare the highest quality food consistently and effectively. It is the pizza build/oven employee’s responsibility to accurately and efficiently build and cook pizzas. The pizza build/oven employee will also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items.



• Know and follow all Sauce policies & procedures
• Be on time for scheduled shift with a clean and complete Sauce uniform
• All dishwashing responsibilities
• Understand, follow and complete pizza prep list daily
• Efficiently run pizza station during busiest rush; following our specs and always meeting our sanitation standards
• Responsible for daily side work to be completed by shifts end, and checked by KM
• Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
• Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, and refrigeration equipment
• Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
• Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
• Closes the kitchen properly, follows the closing checklist for stations
• Assists others in closing the kitchen
• Understand and follow proper rules of hygiene and food safety measures


• Prior restaurant experience preferred
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, loud environment for long periods of time
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Must be able to work in an environment exposed to cold, heat, and water
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
• Must follow safety procedures closely
• Must be able to work on holidays and/or weekends
